I'll dominate 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming bout.

Former two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary face-off, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
